Whenever I am fearful, I only need to know and remember ..

I'm woven in a fantasy, I can't believe the things I see
The path that I have chosen now has led me to a wall
And with each passing day I feel a little
more like something dear was lost
It rises now before me, a dark and silent barrier between,
All I am, and all that I would ever want be
It's just a travesty, towering, marking
off the boundaries my spirit would erase

To pass beyond is what I seek, I fear that I may be too weak
And those are few who've seen it through to glimpse the other side,
The promised land is waiting like a maiden that is soon to be a bride
The moment is a masterpiece, the weight of indecision's in the air
It's standing there, the symbol and the sum of all that's me
It's just a travesty, towering, blocking out the light and blinding me
I want to see

Gold and diamonds cast a spell, it's not for me I know it well
The treasures that I seek are waiting on the other side
There's more that I can measure in the treasure of the love that I can find
And though it's always been with me, I must tear down the Wall and let it be
All I am, and all that I was ever meant to be, in harmony
Shining true and smiling back at all who wait to cross

A diet may change the way you look, but a fast will change the way you live. A diet may change your appearance, but a fast will change the way you see. Both are a restriction of food but the difference lies in the purpose of motive that inspires them. A diet is designed to help you lose or gain weight. A change of diet may also be initiated to improve or correct health problems. Dieting is a natural physical application that alters our physical well-being, weight, or health. It changes the way we look or feel.

Fasting is not for weight gain or loss. Nor is it limited to natural healing. It is not designed to change the way we look and feel but to change the way we perceive and live. A diet may change the way you look, but a fast will change the way you live. A diet may change your appearance, but a fast will change the way you see; it will alter your inner perspective. The world has perverted and reduced the fast, diminishing it to a diet. As such, it is not a spiritual renewal, but a physical one. The deepest transformations are wrought from the inside out.

Before my confrontation with truth, I’d only fasted to lose weight. Granted, I might have done a combination fast and diet, using reasoning such as this: I need to lose weight, and I need direction, so I’ll fast and accomplish both. But on this type of fast, food and weight are still the focus. I have searched the Scriptures and found no reference in God’s Word to a fast prescribed for weight loss.

Your focus or motive on a fast will be your reward. If God isn’t the center, it will be reduced to merely a time of denial.

Merry Christmas!

People feel better when they are around other people that make them feel good and repulsed by people that are critical. It's just human nature. Each one of us has to ability to make the other person in our life feel better and special in many ways. When difficult times arise or when situation faced are not to your favor, giving love can turn that situation around in a second.

I have always try to do that and will always do that at the best the I can. There is so much things you will be thinking when tough times are here and yet there is another part of you trying to salvage or to give up. Alright, really in deep thoughts now. (Stop emoing, I know)

On a lighter note, December is here and it means Christmas season - a joyous giving season is here! Now, the time time to show our gratitude for one another, to show love to your loved ones and most importantly, appreciates those who have left foot prints on your life this year and many years to come.

A perfectionist is someone who holds the underlying belief that perfection can be attained and it should be.

Many people in our world today are perfectionists or have been perfectionists at some point in our lives. You can usually spot a perfectionist a mile away, simply because of the extremist behavior that is exhibited.

Are You A Perfectionist?

Below are some of the common threads in their actions or thoughts:
  • A perfectionist is highly conscious and hyper-critical of any signs of mistakes. He/she has an extremely sharp eye towards details
  • A perfectionist aims to be the best in everything he or she does, even if it is something that he or she is not interested in
  • A perfectionist often spends copious amount of time, right down to the last moment, to perfect something. He or she would rather sacrifice on a personal level (such as sleep, eating time, etc) than let something be less than it can be
  • A perfectionist sets absolute ideals on things in life. There is only black and white, no grey.
  • A perfectionist is the harshest critic of himself/herself. He/she would beat themselves up over the smallest thing that went wrong, to the extent of being neurotic
  • A perfectionist mulls over outcomes if they did not turn out as envisioned
  • A perfectionist is defensive towards criticism and has a fear of failure because it suggests something he/she did was not perfect
  • A perfectionist only has the end goal in mind. If he/she does not achieve the goal, it really does not matter what happens in the process
  • A perfectionist has an all-or-nothing approach. If the situation does not allow him/her to achieve the standard he/she laid out, he/she will abandon the task because it does not make sense to spend time on something that he/she is not going to conquer
  • A perfectionist is very self-conscious about any situation which might give others the perception he/she is not perfect
  • If you are a perfectionist, you will find the above traits highly familiar to you.
